anywayz..had a nice weekend.. yup, nice food n nice company =) sat.. had dinner with parents..@ bendemeer.. went to mustafa after tat.. i dunno how it will sound to u ..but I like the place man.. ya it's kinda packed.. with things n ppl.. it's kinda "intimidating" with SOOOO many stuff around u.. I seriously wonder how they do stock take.. haa. oh but for my friends who r claustrophobic..ill advise u not to step in there..

yea..but I like the place..u can find almost every thing there...n almost each time I go in..ill end up buying something..hee. yup.. bought a pair of "thongs-sandals" thingy.. a bag.. n googles! yippe.. n they all added up to...say less than 50 bucks =)
mum bought swim suit.. n "sandals-slip ons" too.
dad.. paid for all. =P *lol*

sunday... was nice =) started with grandma house.. lunch, lingered ard. went to kwan inn temple after tat... parents left for some appmt...
joined my bro n bro's sweetie grace for shopping ( i was like a lamp post lo...but considering my "tan"...i wasnt too bright la..haa)... oh yea.. they gave me a prezzie...a vibrating piggie (no..not for any purposes, other than to massage neck or feet .. =P) im so gonna take a pic n post it up soon.. .
then...bought a skirt! yes..so happy..been looking for one anyway.. 10bucks @ bugis village.. tot was cheap..till realised I cd haf bargained.. damn.. oh well.

"patrolled" ard Raffles Hotel..guided by dear grace.. haa. was so amused with their washrooms.. they were camouflaged with the walls lor.. sheesh. saw a Bentley.... damn..was nice la. posh posh.. but tink Lamborghini 's nicer le. more "zai" hip look..

had my coffee dosage...finally after weeeeeks.. starbucks...COD...I like... =)
oh yea..while coffee-ing...da necklace my bro gave me, became a "model" for grace photo-taking..haa. thanks to her phone..managed to get these pics up here (tks sweet!).. nice ah. pendant's made of sea-shells.... grace has 1 too, her's made of sand =)

n last part of da day.. met up with parents again for dinner.. yup... nice food..nice company.. =) reco them to one of my fav veg plc @ Suntec...fusion food.. western cum chinese cum indian too. haa. forgot to take photos of them.. otherwise cd put it up. tink we had a lotta mushroom dishes though...
n I tink we were the most "troublesome" customers @ tat time.. big water drinkers=needed refill every 10mins...asked lotta questions most customers dun ask ... cracked lame jokes most customers never think of....*lol*

video marathoning's dying off.. haa. ran out of interesting movie or at least, interesting to me..... let's see wat Ive watched..

• Death Note 1+2 (good! Storyline's super...) ...
• U,Me n Dupree (okay lah..)...
• The Last Kiss (prove my pt bout men... =P)...
• Night @ The Museum (ok la..quite lame..but it's Ben Stiller..wadya expect? watched it for him..haa)
• Material Girls (SUPER chick flick..beet like Legally Blonde kinda stuff..)
• Babel (watched it for Brad Pitt... beet slow ..but story line's not too bad..n for guys..I guess they watch it for the naked jap girl..sheesh..do they really need to have tat in the show?)
  
• Curse of the Golden Flower (Boring...Slow..otherwise costumes n acting were pretty good..)
• Little Miss Sunshine (very cute..n heart-warming show ..for all.. male,female,family, couples..all)
• The Pursuit of Happiness (2nd time I watch..it's fantastic...)
• Akeelah n the Bee (good, simple story..but inspiring n interesting..)
• Band of Brothers (I LOVE IT!!!! Im looking to get Flags of Father, Rise of Hitler, Letters frm Iwo Jama..etc.. =) The courage..the determination..the sacrifice.. is more than admirable.. though im not a "war-fan" .(im more like anti-war).. but these shows really remind me how sad n silly wars are..a total waste of lives.. weapons.. time.. when these could be use for better purposes..aren't we all the same... seeking happiness...seeking a happy meaningful life.. does getting rid of enemies bring u eternal satisfaction? provided u dun get killed by them first...

some other movies Ive watched...but din finish cos I kept falling asleep on it.. either it's boring,to me...or it's too slow... or it's both.. (once again..personal opinion...)

• The Prestige (I know many say it's good..but slow la...)
• One Last Dance (another supposingly good show..but it's too dark..n the dvd quality sux..)

halfway tru the series Heroes...bit like X-men type.. not cartoon la. bout this group of ppl with indiv special powers.. kinda cool... only half-way tru the 1st season. =) still wanna get my Ally Mcbeal..ive got Seasons1-3 liao! ..gotta get 4 n up. =) must go JB soon. hee. been reading too, currently on a book bout Japan's biological warfare during the WW2...it's really sad..how they intentionally infect thousand of ppl held captive n hit villages with biological bombs..infecting them with viral disease, like plague, cholera, anthrax etc..tell u bout it when im done with it..

oh ya, read a book yest..been a long time since I finished 1 book in a day.. or rather a book tat was interesting n good enuff to keep me reading non-stop..( i haf super short attention span, remember?)
it's Siddharta by Herman Hesse.. dun mistake it for a "religious" book .it's alotta to do with how the author connects with Prince Siddharta's life..thinking... n all the dissatisfaction with wat he gets.. constantly seeking for things.. tryin to escape from himself.. infact, the novel's not the actual story behind Siddharta..some parts were altered by the author.. wat kept me glued to the book was all the "facts" the feelings we are feel constantly...the dissatisfaction with life.. the wanting to escape.. n how others neevr seem to understand us..
n there were so many observations n reflections tat pp seem to take for granted..

n if u think about it, everything teaches us something.. even difficult people, or ur so-called enemies, they are ur teachers too, they teach u patience, compassion, and forgiveness... it's a simple to read book..I strongly recommend it if u are interested.. it will make u re-think ur perpective of life... =) will leave u guys with some quotes from the book...

oh yea.. read bout the "college massacre" in Virginia, feel sad for the innocent victims..33 of them! sigh, the guy prob has been facing a lotta stress...being a loner aint easy.. no one to talk to when upset.. wonder how his parents feel.. sigh, life's really unpredictable... n i guess ..shit happens..

anyone made a shopping trip to supermarkets today? it's the "bring your own bag" day! im so happy such a project is finally implemented! always feel uneasy when I see ppl ask for groceries to be packed individually! each item in a bag.. sheesh.

n I rememebr how cashiers @ carrefour gave plastic bags like nobody's business.. they din use to have small bags..so they ll pack small items like a choc.. a small packet of milk in a BIG bag. honestly I feel really disgusted...esp when I see the customer take the bag...walk to the nearest bin..took out the item n throw the bag away....

??? cant he or she just tell the cashier not to bag it in the first place , if the bag is not needed?? just think about how many bags uve taken in a day... buying breakfast, lunch, dinner where hawkers sometimes double bag food like kueys n paus unless told not to.., a drink or newspapers frm 7-11... groceries frm supermarts.. a pen from bookstores.. imagine how many bags are used up everywhere in a day??

hmm...dun mean to sound annoying..but I believe everyone has a part to play in protecting the environment.. just feel tat it's everyone's responsibility... to protect n repay wat u take frm it.


ever wondered why the earth's screwing up...weather's getting nuts..(think Hurricane Katrina, Tsunami...).. the list of extinct animals is getting longer.. diseases like Avian Flu, SARS etc. r getting rampant.. clearly...the earth's getting ill.. n most ppl dun really care...


simple things ..like rejecting a plastic bag.. efforts to recycle.. using envmt-friendly appliances..
u may tink tat since u are just 1 out of billions n billions of ppl.. it prob won't make much a diff..

well..u ll be surprised.. tink bout it..would u rather be one of those who r harming the envmt..or one of those who r saving the envmt? it's really ur choice..n tat choice aint tat hard to make..

U see the first pic up there ..with the elephants? it's a pic of Mt Kilimanjaro, South Africa's highest mountain.. it has already lost 82% of its ice caps..and it's predicted that if pollution n deforestation doesnt stop soon.. Mt Kilimanjaro n Mt Kenya (S.Africa's 2nd highest Mt) will lose their ice caps...yes..no more ice..

u know I was really enthu when I heard bout the new ecoflats @ punggol.. of course im not buying la..but honestly..if I were to buy an apmt in future..I wd love to have one of those ecoflats =)

n i must say im proud of the govmt for FINALLY taking more actions to protect the envmt..
we are one of the most advanced n developed cty around.. but in terms of ethics.. Im not too sure if we are even close to average..

just take the example of the non-biodegradable plastic bags... it's already banned in many places including South Africa, Bhutan, Bangladesh ...... over there, supermkts dun give them out like nobody's biz.. so wat is Spore waiting for?
I feel we can at least start with "paying" for the bags.. the idea of using the money to fund more envmt or charity projects is great!

even in countries where plstc bags are not banned, peepz take the initiative to bring their own bags, use envmt friendly sources for automobiles etc. I applaud their efforts n honestly hope more Sporeans will start owning the responsibility of caring for the envmt. =)

One need not be "obsessed" nor hold any demonstration, protest of any kind.. we dun need extreme behaviours.. but we appreciate kind simple gestures n actions tat can change the lives of many in future..
remember..it's the world ur children will live in... if u dun wan them to suffer in extreme weather conditions..droughts..floods.. diseases.. start saving the earth now...

helo peepz...manz..realised it's been like almost a month since my last post.. haa. din haf access to internet lor..oh well. nywayz..life's been fine..though it could be WAAAAY better... haa. hmm then again it could be WAAAAAY worse..so =) oh yes! from the whole list of stuff I wanna get...Ive gotten 2! Yea..new earphones...n new swimsuit! haa.

actually was looking for this particular earphones I saw an angmoh guy with...the wire is lime green n..it's just the normal earpiece type... dunno wat brand though...anyone knows?
hmm..so ended up getting some Philips earphones..desperate lor..cos the only 1 I haf completely gonecase already... =)
