goodbye 2007..i ll miss the september part of u..

2007 will end in an hour's time...

when i think about what ive done in this year.. nothing much comes to my mind honestly.. as cliche as it sounds, the year passed so fast.. the only memorable time, as i mentioned..would be my 1 month in khao lak with the children frm the orphanage. the memory's so vivid it replays on my mind everytime i wanna think of smtg nice.

resolutions for 2008... i dun really have the habit of making resolutions honestly.
i think it's too tough to say cos many things can happen in a year.. main wish is prob for my family and i to be healthy n be blessed with happiness n joy..

on a global scale...i really hope there' ll be less natural disaster n less innocent lives taken away... this year was filled with many unfortunate events.. sometimes i think about how these people live for each day instead of years.. everyday alive to them is a blessing.. we r really lucky huh.

reminds me of the talk i attended yest with my mum... Ajahn Brahm's talk on Happiness n Gratitude.. he's the angmoh monk i felt is a great living inspiration.. his talks never fail to enlighten and motivate.. only prob was the crowd... i was really surprised to see the HUGE crowd... it was so packed there wasnt space to listen comfortably... ended up in another room watching the video telecast..

i like the part he talked about how we humans tend to focus so much on the "bad" things ppl do or "bad" things that happen... we take for granted too easily when things go smoothly..
i laughed when he talked about how if we aint happy n grateful to our government, maybe we should move to other countries (he mentioned a particular country ..but i think i dun wanna offend anyone..) it's true.. we all know of countries around us that are experiencing turmoils..esp. with corrupted govt..

we don't feedback positively when trains come on time... when we get to work on time because of efficient bus services.. we complain in an instant when we have to wait 6 mins for the train (why isn't it 2min interval!!!) we write in to critisise when 1 event displease us.. how about the other 999 events that went well and that we enjoyed? do we bother to appreciate the effort done?
maybe 1 of our resolutions for 2008...can be "to be nicer to others...to appreciate a good effort...write in to acknowledge efforts done to make an event successful.."

an hour to 2008.. bet lotsa u guys are out doing the countdown... bet it's damn crowded everywhere.. want to go join the fun... but was quite turn off by the crowd... shall welcome 2008 in peace n comfort of home.
had a haircut too.. nothing drastic ..just wanted to feel a little different. haa. =)
ok.. hopefully next year's gonna be filled with more great events to look back...
