a 21km worth of high

u know how i always complained bout being envious of ppl having running companions.. well today i just ran 2 -3hours of 21 km with the company of almost 50,000 boys n men! now who's complaining?

haa. maybe except for the sweaty bodies brushing against my arms at times, and the long wait @ the starting point to even start a jogging pace after flag off (the crowd was unbelievable!).. yup the Army Half Marathon..a bloody 21km.
it was a pretty good experience... n a damn good feeling after.

route was alright.. my first time running @ the esplanade area though. down raffles quay.. up sheares bridge.. down east coast.. tarik.. across marina barrage (it's apparently the first run across it!) n back to padang. din know that was a hell 21km.
the furthest i ever ran was 15k in 2003 back in KL.. man.

oh yea. i din think i would run with my injury but chiong anyway. pain came after 3 km! tahan.. tried not to exert too much..controlled the impact so it wouldn' give way. thank gosh i managed to finish it!

btw darn, i haven see SO MANY guys running before in my entire life.. my left n right, front n back.. lotsa 'ah bin ger' clanned in their ARMY, NAVY, AFS etc P.T attire.. massive clans of them seriously. n i bet they could have set the record for the highest number of ppl wearing the 1 Brooks model running shoes in a single run. lol. ya u know which one im talking about.

besides the young men.. there were also the 'old' soldiers with their never-say-die spirit! men in late 40s n 50s still running n looking good! never would have imagined so many ppl who choose to pay 50 bucks, wake up @ 5am on a sunday n get squeezy with 60,000 ppl just to RUN.
lol. then again. most of the SAF guys din have much of a choice. ha.

oh yes. kinda realised i lost a lot of phone contacts bcos of some stupid misunderstanding. so i have to start getting back ppl's numbers again. sigh. it's really pretty sad.

alright time for a good dinner treat for all that sweat!
